What is the name of the range of mountains in Ireland which is almost parallel to the south coast?
They are poetically called the Cork and Kerry Mountains because they are located in those counties, but I do not think that is their 'official' name.

There is no collective name for these mountains.
However, separately they are Macgillycuddy's Reeks, Shehy Mts, Caha Mts, Boggeragh Mts. Further east between Waterford and Cork is the Knockmealdown Mts.
The highest point on the island of Ireland is Carrantuohill, which is in the Macgillycuddy's Reeks.
