Elevator makes noise. Is that a good reason to move?

So i live in my own apartment that my parents bought for me. The problem is that although the apartment is very nice I don’t really like the area and I really wanted to live in a different area we were originally looking into. My parents found this one and especially my dad god overly enthusiastic and just took charge totally. My apartment is right next to an elevator shaft that makes a lot of noise. So that makes me think I have a good valid reason to move to the place I wanted to live in the first place? What do you think? Do i have a good excuse noe Or is it ways to fix the noise that would complicate that?
