Can the GOP keep Trump from ever holding national office again, without having to use the 25th amendment, say if he is charged w crimes?

Saw that if 25th amendment were used, Trump could never again hold office... wondering if that is the only way? Seems if they did this, it would remove a big obstacle to them and anyone in the GOP who has Presidential ambitions.

Yes.  They can not nominate him for any other office.   He would have to run as an Independent.

NO THEY CAN'T.  Haven't they done enough to the poor man?  IDIOTS.
RetarDems remind me of the big bullies who beat up on the autistic kids.
Shame on them.

Yes and no
They can refuse to nominate him so he cannot run as a Republican but they cannot stop him from running as an independent
The 25th Amendment does not stop him from running again
The only way is he must be removed from office by impeachment then another separate vote that prevents him from holding elective office again

What you saw is wrong.  The 25th Amendment only allows someone else to act for the President temporarily.  He remains in office and can resume when it is determined that he is again able.

The GOP might be able to change its rules to keep him from being nominated by the GOP again.  However, he could still run as an independent, a third party candidate, or even a Democrat, and could hold office if he somehow won.

They could quickly impeach and remove him from office. This would make him in eligible to run again.
