If I’m working from home and signed into work vpn network - can my work see what I’m doing on my iPhone if it’s connected to the same WIFI?

If the VPN connection is from your computer at home (running a VPN client app) to your employer's computer network, no... assuming you are not connecting the iPhone to your employer's network using a similar VPN connection.

That the home computer is using WiFi or a wired Ethernet connection does not matter. The VPN packets are encapsulated in their encryption envelope basically making a tunnel from your computer to your employer's network for decryption. The WiFi-connected iPhone - not using a VPN client - won't be allowed on your employer's network, so they can't see what's happening on the iPhone.

No. Your phone is connected to your router and not your computer. Only your computer is linked with the vpn to your work.

If the VPN is from your computer to their VPN server, no, work can not see what your iPhone is doing.  Or anything else on your network. 


If the VPN is from your router to their VPN server, yes, they can see everything as the entire network will be part of their network.  NO sane company does this, however.  It would create way too much headache.

The network (VPN and yours) are connected if a routing option is turned on your PC.  This is usually turned off, but it can be, then a snoop can be launched.  I used to run a VPN and we would see user's printers on the network.  Since your PC is on the network, the WIFI password is accessible, so

But the Company's access is limited to their assets.  So it would be highly unethical for them to do anything like that.  It would take some work, some intentional things that companies would not do.  So it is possible but highly unlikely.

Normally they shouldn't but even if someone knew how, who has got the time to bother doing that?

If its connected via the work vpn probably. Most likely the vpn is through the PC so your iphone wont be connected via that vpn.
