How to get over a crush as an adult?

I work in an office with this girl that I'm really attracted to. We get on well and have a good working relationship, but I'm afraid if I let myself continue to like her "more than I should" it might put a strain on our work friendship. Any tips on how to get over an attraction to someone are welcome. Thanks!

Stay busy, and focus on meeting other people. Also, keep your work life and your personal life separate. You'll be happier and a better work colleague.

Imagine you're walking past a really nice car. You could probably steal that car and maybe get away with it for a while. But you know that ultimately that would probably end very badly for you. Now imagine this "girl" is that nice car. You can look but you can't touch.

I'm not sure there is 'how to' about getting over a crush. It's something that happens naturally and might the same way. But how about this? Stop worrying about making things awkward after confessing to her and just do it? Just tell her you like her and that it's something you feel so you wanted her to know and it's not to make her uncomfortable but to just be honest with her. Hope this helps.
