It depends on what you mean by sacrifice and I would not want a man to grovel to me. You must not judge entire demographics.

There's a war between the sexes.  Females need to be reassured that they are beautiful or you appear boorish to them.  Of course, you want a beautiful interaction between beautiful people, but if things don't work out to their satisfaction, they have you outranked and outnumbered.
