What are some clean mystery kindle books?

You're looking for Tony Hillerman, who writes excellent mysteries devoid of strong language and sex because that's what he prefers to do. And he does it so well you don't miss anything.

Hillerman's works are not cozy mysteries (which I don't especially like). They're set in tribal lands and the surrounding areas in the American Southwest, and feature interesting characters solving interesting cases. There's not a charming older woman, a bookstore, a theatre group, or any of the typical cozy tropes in sight.

Go for "period" ones- such as Middle ages, Victorian era, 1920-40's

Sherlock Holmes of course
anything by Agatha Christie, Dorothy Sayers, Ellis Peters, Elizabeth Peters- British

The Cat Who... by Lillan  Jackson Braun- are set in the 1960's and up= American

No bad words, no blood, no guts, no gore, completely clean.....why don't you just read some cabinet installation instructions

Sammy Keyes is fun, but it's more of a young adult/teen series

You could see if Kindle carries these titles:  Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys, The Happy Hollisters, and The Daughter of Time.
