An argon-ion laser emitted 9.7 x 10^20 photons with a total energy of 63.4 J. What was the wavelength of this light?

I tried using E=HC/lambda, but I couldn't get the correct answer. Please show me how to do this. Thank you so much.

✔ 最佳答案
Energy per photon, E = 63.4 / (9.7 × 10²⁰) J
Planck constant, h = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴ J s
Speed of light, c = 3.00 × 10⁸ m/s

E = hc/λ
Then, λ = hc/E

Wavelength, λ
= (6.626 × 10⁻³⁴) × (3.00 × 10⁸) / [63.4 / (9.7 × 10²⁰)] m
= 3.04 × 10⁻⁶ m
= 3040 nm
