Only fools think the Bible isn't relevant.
God's Word to humanity is not only relevant, but essential until the end of time.
Yes, absolutely and completely.
God doesn't change. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Your future is still written in the Holy Bible so yes, the Bible is relevant and inerrant. No errors in God's word.
Absolutely! As old as it is, the Bible addresses so many basic human needs including finding meaning in life as well as how to have a reasonable measure of happiness and security, good family relations, and rewarding friendships. It also claims to be inspired by our Creator. It offers to guide us in every aspect of life and to equip us for any challenge that matters. (2 Timothy 3:16, 17) What is more, it claims to convey counsel that is timeless—advice that never becomes obsolete! The Bible itself says: “The word of God is alive.”—Hebrews 4:12.
All we have to do is test its principles and see for yourself!
YES VERY RELEVANT.
MORE UP TO DATE THAN TOMORROWS NEWSPAPER.
Nay sayers are so caught up in not believing in miracles and call it a book of fiction or myths that they completely miss the message of the Good News of God's Kingdom and practical advise it carries. It helps people to become wise and is a protection for those who follow God's word.
The relevance of all 66 little books under the one cover of "The Bible" is that it communicates God's dealings with humanity over the centuries, and speaks of what God will yet do in the future. It counteracts all the satanic lies doing the rounds these days, and those who heed its 'good news' (or, gospel message about Jesus) will not be overcome by the evil that is growing and which will culminate before Jesus' appearance.
Gee, I don't know. Did Armageddon happen already? If not, YES IT IS STILL RELEVANT!
It's relevant in that people are still devoted to it. It has no relevance in terms of content though. This is a book claiming to offer moral guidance that condones slavery, discourages science, advocates the murder of homosexuals, heretics, women who don't "know their place", and basically every other out-group. It is a completely IMMORAL book.
So what little relevance it's content once had has long been lost because religion by nature fails to keep pace with the rest of the culture which has become more moral than the bible.
Totally. It's especially relevant to me.
The Bible is a gift from God. It gives us information that we can’t find anywhere else. For example, it tells us that God created the heavens, the earth, and the first man and woman. It gives us principles that can help us when we have problems. In the Bible, we learn how God will accomplish his purpose to make the earth a better place. The Bible is such an exciting gift!
The Bible is “inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.” (2 Timothy 3:16) Yes, the Bible’s advice is helpful for us today. Jehovah knows how we are made, so he understands how we think and feel. He knows us better than we know ourselves, and he wants us to be happy. He knows what is good for us and what is bad for us.

The Bible says:
“All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial.” 2 Timothy 3:16
To answer, ask yourself: ‘What are the worst problems facing mankind today? Which ones are the most terrifying?’ You might think of warfare, pollution, crime, or corruption. Now consider some principles that the Bible teaches. As you do, ask yourself, ‘If people lived by these values, would the world be a better place?’
Think about these values:
LOVE OF PEACE
MERCY, FORGIVENESS
RACIAL HARMONY
RESPECT FOR THE EARTH
HATRED OF GREED AND IMMORALITY
HONESTY, HARD WORK
THE IMPORTANCE OF HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Just to mention a few practical ways the Bible is relevant. The Bible does not merely list those values. In practical ways, it teaches us to value such principles and to apply them in our day-to-day life. If more people actually applied the teachings listed, would there not be a great impact on mankind’s worst problems? Therefore, the Bible principles are more relevant and timely than ever! What do you think the Bible can do for you right now?
There are three key ways in which the Bible can prove practical in your life. It can teach you how to :
avoid problems where possible.
resolve difficulties when they arise.
cope successfully with situations you cannot change.

Psalm 119:160 KJV — Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Psalm 100:5 KJV — For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
yes it is but not read enough as you can see from all the hatred, looting, killings and regard for human life. People wanted the bible and God out of their lives and this is the end result..no family, no God no fear of ever going to hell in one's end time on earth.. surprise for all who don't believe.. they will be cast in to hell..
The fact of the matter: Yes: God holy word the bible is still relevant today, that is why all of God's prophecy is coming true and all will come true before that great and terrible day of the Lord comes, judgment day.

it's more relevant than ever today!! Jesus is coming!!!!
Yes, of course, because of its ORIGINAL values and wisdom (especially those of Jesus Christ), like forgiveness and love, which show and have something to do with the relationship with other human beings and with God.
That is because - while many things have changed over the last 2000 years- other things did not change/disappear, such as love, hatred, greed, slander, murder, robbery/theft, violence, adultery etc.
And the bible does deal with these issues.
Yes i still read it and I use My English Prayer Book
But then i have No Problem in Beleiving in the One True God
Of course. People are still people, and God is still God.
We live basically under philosophies that the ancient Greeks discovered, and wrote about. A lot that is old is new again!
2 Timothy 3:16
All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness,
It is very relevant in present times infested with terrorism and violence. The Holy Bible is the only revelation that teaches love even for your enemies.
No. Only fools think the Bible is relevant.
Yes. It still is the same yesterday, today and in the future. It's people who keep wanting to "change" it to suit their own agenda and beliefs. The New World Translation, (Jehovah's Witness Bible), and the "Book of Mormon" are two examples of false scriptures and doctrine. The original scripts for the bible are all we should need to guide our lives. It's God's word. The Life Application Study Bible (New Living Translation), is a wonderful study source. You can get it online on your mobile for about 20 bucks, or you can get a Hard Copy which would of course cost more. But it's more than worth whatever you pay. It has a way of explaining scriptures and speaks about the time period and their rules so you can understand the scriptures better. I recommend it highly.
Yes, without a doubt. There is noting our country and the world needs more than God's guidance as we face the future. No country has ever been blessed more than the US but I am afraid we are forgetting where those blessings came from.
Some say that the Bible is out-of-date, like a manual for an obsolete computer. But that comparison is both superficial and deceptive. Computers change and thus manuals become outdated. Basic human nature does not change. For example, people today respond to love and hate, fidelity and infidelity, kindness and cruelty in much the same way as our ancestors did. So when it comes to fundamentals, “there is nothing new under the sun.”—Ecclesiastes 1:9.

The Bible provides truthful answers to some of life’s most important questions.
Knowing the truth can be a matter of life and death. For example, consider how our lives have been affected by the answer to the following question, How do infectious diseases spread?
For thousands of years, no one really knew the answer to that question. Meanwhile, plagues and epidemics took millions of lives. Eventually, scientists learned the truth. They discovered that diseases were often caused by germs—microorganisms, such as bacteria or viruses. Finding out that one truth has helped people prevent and treat many diseases, which has led to billions of people living longer and healthier lives.
The Bible can help you find the answers to these important questions & more:
Why are we here?
What happens at death?
Why is there suffering?
What is God doing to end all suffering?
How can we have a happy family life?

More relevant than the average Trump Tweet!
HILTON loved boxing. At the age of seven, he was getting into fights—both in and out of the ring! When in high school, he would roam about with friends, looking for someone to beat up. “I stole, gambled, watched pornography, harassed women, and swore at my parents,” he says. “My behavior was such that my parents considered me beyond reform. After I finished high school, I left home.”
When Hilton returned 12 years later, his parents could hardly believe this was their son! He was calm, controlled, and respectful. What led to this astonishing transformation? While he was away, he began to reflect seriously on where his life was headed. He also examined the Bible to see if it could help him change his ways. “I applied what I read in the Bible,” said Hilton, “which meant getting rid of my old personality and obeying the command at Ephesians 6:2, 3 to honor my parents. For the first time in my life, I found genuine happiness, and I brought joy to my father and mother, not more heartache!”
Hilton’s story underscores both the relevance and the transforming power of Bible values. (Hebrews 4:12) Let us consider some of those values—namely, honesty, self-control, fidelity, and love—and how they can greatly enrich lives.

Sure it is. It is full of lessons and for thinking people, it is a never ending source of reflection. Take the first story of Adam and Eve. There is so much there and no writer, even of Shakespeare's class and there was only one of him, could cram so much into so few words.
Eve is tempted. Aren't we all tempted at one time or another? Eve is weak. The serpent told her all she had to do was eat the fruit of a particular tree and not only wouldn't she die, but she would be as a god. He wasn't completely lying either (see below). So she took it, ate it, and Adam, being a typical dopey husband did as he was told and ate it, too. Then what? They were ashamed.
Was the serpent lying? Well he did say she wouldn't die as a result of eating the fruit, and it didn't kill her instantly, but she eventually died. He left out the "when" part. Isn't that like all temptation? There is something that is hidden behind the stuff we want? But be as a god? Well he wasn't real far off there either. Prior to eating the forbidden fruit, the only being who knew good and evil was God himself. One bite equalized that bit. Now Adam and Eve both knew good and evil along with God. Not exactly what the serpent said, but this is typical of "sell your soul to the Devil" stories, isn't it? There is so much more in this story.
So we learn a bit about ourselves, our desires, and we learn that temptation is everywhere. What is the saying? Oh yeah, "Even God couldn't build a garden that could keep out all the snakes." We have to be careful. Temptation often leads to a bad ending. What's irrelevant about that?
And we can do this with almost everything written in the old and new testaments. My particular favorite in the New Testament is the parable of the wealthy tax collector who enters the temple and tells God, "I am thankful I am not like the rest of men," or something close depending on the translation and version. The ancient Greeks would have grasped that one in a heartbeat. They had a name for it: hubris. I'd guess about 90% of our academics should study this parable, and maybe I need to memorize the "judge not lest ye be judged," part.
Lots to learn in there.
I think it is, but not as a cookbook, a science book, or a chronological journalistic narrative. We have to remember that it was assembled over 1000s of years, has undergone numerous translations (with some likely errors), and it comes from a culture very different from our own. Still, there is value in the story of a people who grew from being essentially a clan, to an ethnic group, to a nation and finally attempting to understand the cosmos--all with limited information. The stories ultimately champion compassion for all, the Universe as a loving place, the importance of treating each other with dignity and respect, and as the primary sentient beings on this world, taking care of the Earth and its inhabitants.
People still want to find meaning in life as well as to have a reasonable measure of happiness and security, good family relations, and rewarding friendships.
As old as it is, the Bible addresses those needs and more. It also claims to be inspired by our Creator. It offers to guide us in every aspect of life and to equip us for any challenge that matters. 2 Timothy 3:16, 17

Absolutely! The Bible was designed for Imperfect humans. We are Still imperfect humans! Still applies!
Yes it is more than ever! Even though the pandemic is still going on, it is more important than ever to go to a good Bible believing Church preferly in person!
The King James Bible has been around for over 400 years. And until it is outlawed, it will continue to be around.
And even when it is death sentence to have a Bible during those days, the Word will be written on peoples hearts, that is something the Atheist Government will not be able to take away from us.
RELEVANT the definition a adjective closely connected or appropriate to what is being DONE ( actions by people ) or considered a more elaborate definition from Merriam -Webster having significant and DEMONSTRABLE bearing on matters at hand , Affording "EVIDENCE" tending to "PROVE" or DISPROVE the matter at issue or under discussion , having SOCIAL relevance
PROOF evidence or argument establishing or helping to establish a FACT or 'truth" of a STATEMENT ( propositions / allegations )
FACT , a thing that is INDISPUTABLY "the case "
the truth about events as opposed to INTERPRETATION ( requires demonstration )
to make that ASSESSMENT a person would have to first identify the ISSUE .... the Bible is 66 books by various ancient authors presenting various propositions and stories
ISSUE
1- a important TOPIC or PROBLEM for debate or discussion
2- a result or outcome of something
3- to flow from or coming out
TOPIC noun a matter dealt with IN A TEXT or conversation , a subject PROBLEM noun
1- a matter or situation regarded as UNWELCOME or harmful and needing to be dealt with and overcome

EXTERNALLY GENERATED BELIES using experts authority and Cannon
MANAGERS PARENTS and PRIEST all present their beliefs based on their " POSITION" rather than their expertise
the difference between an expert and AUTHORITY is people tend to accept the AUTHORITY because of their POSITION or CHARISMATIC powers and NOT because of any REASONABLE PROOF
More than ever!
It is God's handbook for life!
It is STILL the best selling book (actually it is an anthology of 66 books) and is written in every language in use in the world today!
yes. it's too bad cretins still haven't learned how to read it. Matthew 23:9 "Call no man father". Genesis 1.29 "Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth... "spare the rod, spoil the child" is a 17th century love poem, not a biblical excuse to assault children... phil 3.2 "beware the dog who says you must be circumcised to be saved"... "sodomy" means "the sum of [the evil committed in the city of] sodom", including rape, torture, mutilation, murder, and child immolation; it has nothing to do with homosexuality, and neither does anything else in the bible.
The bible is still applicable to all circumstances we face in life today. The Bible teaches us that Jesus Christ is the Savior and Redeemer of the World. Is that still not true today? Gods doctrines never change, for Gods course is one eternal round. That means he is an unchanging God; he is the same today, tomorrow, and forever.
Jesus is Lord. His word will endure forever. A wise man will read His word and live by it. Amen.
Well, OF COURSE it is. DEUT 13:6-9 STILL commands us to put to death ANY friend, relative, or neighbor who suggests we tolerate or investigate ANY OTHER religion. So, get busy and start slaughtering! " If thy brother, the son of thy mother, or thy son, or thy daughter, or the wife of thy bosom, or thy friend, which is as thine own soul, entice thee secretly, saying, Let us go and serve other gods, which thou hast not known, thou, nor thy fathers;7 Namely, of the gods of the people which are round about you, nigh unto thee, or far off from thee, from the one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth;8 Thou shalt not consent unto him, nor hearken unto him; neither shall thine eye pity him, neither shalt thou spare, neither shalt thou conceal him:9 But thou shalt surely kill him; thine hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
Yes. The Bible will always be relevant.
Judges 19:26-29 - At daybreak the woman went back to the house where her master was staying, fell down at the door and lay there until daylight. When her master got up in the morning and opened the door of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, there lay his concubine, fallen in the doorway of the house, with her hands on the threshold.
He said to her, "Get up; let's go." But there was no answer.
Then the man put her on his donkey and set out for home.
When he reached home, he took a knife and cut up his concubine,
limb by limb, into twelve parts and sent them into all the areas of Israel.
John 14:19 - Jesus said:
“A little longer and the world will behold me no more."
Leviticus 26:17 – “I will set my face against you so that you will be defeated by your enemies; those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee even when no one is pursuing you.”
Yup. It sure looks like the Bible is still relevant today!
One way that a man can tell that the Bible is still valid is to see that the Prophecies inside have come true.
Now, one can pretend that past Prophets were frauds, but it's not so easy when it happens in front of you on TV.
And that is precisely what happened to me, in 1998.
None of the major stories in the Bible actually happened in real life.
Is it relevant? Without God's Holy Word, to lead many to their eternal salvation by reading it, and knowing what God has instore for all his children is very RELEVANT.
This question brought CHILLS DOWN MY SPINE....to think we wouldn't have GOD'S WORD would be like living in hades already if not saved. God's Word is part of GOD.
As long as you stick to trustworthy Bibles, yes, of course the Bible is still relevant 💒👑🕊 And there are plenty of trustworthy Bibles to read and to study. There's the English Standard Version, Revised Standard Version, New International Version, New American Standard Bible and the King James Version, to name just a few. All are available free online at
www.biblegateway.com, which offers no less than 60 different language Bibles, two dozen in English alone.
If you visit
www.biblegateway.com you will find that the Watchtower Society's New World Translation is NOT available there. The NWT is not at all accurate or trustworthy, having been developed specifically to shore up Watchtower theology.
Hello,
Yes the Bible is truly relevant throughout the ages and always. Why? The Author who inspired the writing is also the king of eternity and knows all things for mankind. He has always existed and will always exist. Our Father who knows what is best for us, will always give us good advice and he outlines in his word what he expects of us and what will help us to live a good life. I have attached a link to a bible based article that further shows the Bible’s relevance today.
https://www.jw.org/en/library/magazines/watchtower-no1-2018-jan-feb/
Is the Bible still relevant? Probably Not without fresh context and manipulation.
Nope. It is an outdated book, with a lot of questionable morals.
Realistically, no. Granted, some of the central messages are still valid, for example the parable of the Good Samaritan But most of it is geared to a culture that existed thousands of years ago and does not come close to addressing any moral or emerging issues today.
Again, granted, treating others as you want to be treated, is ageless advice, but not specific to the Bible as are many of the more "wise" observations that the Bible makes. However, it does not address how to live "globally" (no, I'm not talking about a mythical one world government), social media, or hundreds of other real issues.
If you have a very limited world view and consider your limited existence as all there is, it may be relevant, but when you understand that we are all on this planet and what we do affects all of us and countless other species, it really isn't.
It is as relevant as the English language and numeric digits.
