Faith in love is a tentative pretend play.
Imagining that love exists is tentative play and using a sense of humor to have a positive frame of mind.
Imagine that "people are out to do me good".
A passive openness to the possibility of being loved is good enough for a "working experiment", even if you don't fully "believe".
Don't get hung up on faith.
God is love.
I don't believe that Christianity or the God thereof is nonsense. I will say that even if I knew God didn't exist, I would not regret having lived as a Christian. Other than that, I have no reason to believe that the existence of God is precluded by any facet of science, reason, logic or reality. Thus far I haven't been presented with that. The atheist may be right, but I don't see any reason to be an atheist over anything else thus far. It doesn't really seem to be based on anything I can examine. Whenever I talk to an atheist it all tends to boil down to the fact that they don't like God. They don't like his rules and they don't want there to be a God unless they can live however they want and still enter heaven. Which is fine as far as opinions go, but not evidence of a correct stance.
