Is it worth it getting a nose job?

I'm about to turn 20 and I've always wanted a nose job. My nose isn't absolutely horrible but I don't think it fits my face, it's the only thing keeping me from feeling fullfilled about my appearance. It's pretty expensive but if i started saving up I'd probably be able to do it next year. Is it a good idea though? I also considered non-surgical nose job but that only lasts from 6 months to a year and doesn't give the same results as an actual nose job. I'm really considering it but I don't wanna regret spending a big amount of money on something that I wouldn't be satisfied with. Does anyone have any experience with this? I've never had anything else done to my face before.

Let me tell you a little story about why plastic surgery of any kind is never worth it.
I once had a friend, let’s call her “C”. C had a boob job, perfect body, perfect teeth, perfect little nose, perfect everything. She was the kind of girl anybody would be jealous of. She had it all. However she lacked personality.
At the end of the day the man that she loved wanted to cheat on her with me. I am someone with many imperfections, I have a rather big nose ( it’s always been an insecurity of mine). But Giselle Bundchen one of the highest paid models in the entire world says it best “the bigger the nose the bigger the personality”. The industry wanted her to get a nose job, but she refused, and today she is one of the highest paid models in the entire world.
Moral of the story C’s boyfriend wanted to cheat on her with me.. not because I am perfect with no flaws, but simply because I have an amazing personality.
I always remember this when I consider plastic surgery. Because in the end guys truly look for an amazing personality over looks always.
I am happily married today but whenever I’m feeling insecure I always revert back to that one time.
So truly think long and hard about if it will truly satisfy you. I got my boobs done later and now regret it fully, it’s always a false satisfaction. Even in the midst of my healing process I was thinking about what else I could get done. It’s all truly a lie.
Be happy the way God created you, because he doesn’t make mistakes.
In the end beauty will fade regardless, but a beautiful soul.. will remain forever.

Getting a fake nose isn’t going to solve your insecurity issues.

Well, I am actually not going to recommend this but my sister broke her nose and it affected her breathing because of a deviated septum so she went to a nose doctor that also specialized in rhinoplasty, with my parents insurance she was able to get a full nose job for free or at least with the insurance.

I would never judge someone for getting cosmetic surgery, whether it's a procedure, fillers, or something non-invasive like you mentioned. However the world is in a pandemic, when you have anything medical done you take on a risk of there being a reaction. If you have a reaction to something that takes place during the procedure or even with the meds you take after, you will have to go to the hospital. It's not worth risking contracting COVid for vanity. Give the doctors and hospitals a chance to catch up with this thing before taking that risk. I'm not a super liberal person, but in this case it is an additional risk and one has to be practical, heck Trump got it. When the pandemic stops, hopefully in a year, then knock yourself out. Look for a good doctor, when you are ready a good way to keep expenses down is to look up the practice on websites like Zoc Doc and Care Dash, this will give you insights into if people had issues with the practice overcharging people or causing them to incur additional bills. Also if there are medical board actions you will see those on the site, which is important for something like this that requires someone to be very professional and fine tuned. Stay safe and be well, I hope my answer helped you.

well my opinion is to wait a little longer...maybe you'll change your mind.
try to accept yourself. it's a part of your body. i don't know you and i don't how you look like but im sure you're a beautiful lady without surgery.

But in the end it's your decision and listen to your body.

You need to schedule a consultation with a good plastic surgeon, someone who knows more than you do about whether a nose "fits" a face and whether surgery is warranted or not. You can sit at a mirror and stare at yourself forever wondering what's the right thing to do, when a professional can immediately give you exactly the information you need to know for sure.
Best of luck.

Do your research and take the least invasive procedure.  If you're still unhappy with your general appearance, you may need to realize that what you dislike about your body someone else may find unique and endearing.  For instance, Jennifer Grey of Dirty Dancing got a nose job, but after that she looked too ordinary to get many good roles.

It is doable and if you put a bit aside from every paycheck and you use the power of compounding interest you can get enough money after a few years. By then you might have changed your mind about your nose. . I'm not sure what you mean "fulfilled about your appearance" Nobody's perfect.  Everyone has something they aren't 100% happy with but they don't let it hold them back. Nobody looks like their filtered and edited instagram pictures, not even celebrities!  After a few years of saving money your priorities might (will) change and you can.use the money you've saved for something more worthwhile.

Many do regret nose work. There's always a chance your nose could look worse, not better. (An episode of Seinfeld was centered on this problem)  The nose adds character to the face and makes you look uniquely you. Many actresses and celebrities find that a unique nose helped their career and had more work before getting their nose done. The most famous example is Jennifer Grey, from Dirty Dancing and Ferris Bueller. Her career stopped dead after she got her nose done. Imagine Uma Thurman or Cameron Diaz or Barbara Streisand without their unique noses! It's very expensive and surgery always comes with risks to health and life.  Nose surgery and impede the way you breathe. Think very carefully as you save money and look at real people in the real world. You'll discover your appearance is more than fine and you can focus feelings of fulfillment on stuff that isn't your face.
