math help please?
Use properties of limits and algebraic methods to find the limit, if it exists. (If the limit is infinite, enter '∞' or '-∞', as appropriate. If the limit does not otherwise exist, enter DNE.)
lim x→10
7x^2 − 70x/x^2 − 100

Please read the following answer:
lim (7x^2 - 70x)/(x^2 - 100) =
x-> 10
lim 7x(x - 10)/((x + 10)(x - 10)) =
x-> 10
lim 7x/(x + 10) = 70/20 = 7/2
x-> 10
How hard is it - for a calculus student no less - to recall that parentheses are necessary when you want addition to take precedence over division?
You need to factor the top and the bottom expression and cancel x - 10
