The questions he raised are of first-rate importance.
請問知識大大們,此句are後面為什麼要加of,而不是直接are first-rate importance呢?句中的of用意是什麼呢?謝謝。: )

✔ 最佳答案
用簡單易點的例句來說明:

She is Helen.
She is smart.

以上的例子說明,BE動詞後面是可以接<名詞>,也可以接<形容詞>.
要是是<名詞>的話,就是<主詞>的<同位語>.要是是<形容詞>的話,就是<主詞補語>.

<同位語>就是說She就是Helen;Helen就是She.
<主詞補語>是<形容詞>用來形容<主詞>.在這個例子裡就是說smart是在形容she.

回到你的句子:
The questions are first-rate importance. (X) 因為first-rate importance是<名詞>用來做The questions的<同位語>是不合邏輯的. 應該要變成of first-rate importance 或是改成highly important (形容詞) 就可以了!

The questions are of high importance. (O)
The questions are highly important. (O)

還有:
跟囚犯人糾纏不清是很有麻煩的事情的.戒慎小心...

To Helen:-The above example shows that the BE verb can be followed by a NOUN or can be followed by an adjective.

If it is<NOUN> a <subject>, <equal place/equal rank同位> .If it is an <adjective>, it is a <Subject complement=主詞補>.

<equal rank=<同位> means She is Helen;and Helen is   She.--->are being first rated= 表示同位關係.

<subject complement=主詞補> is an<adjective> used to describe<subject=主詞>, In this case, are of first rate importance is describing question the Subject;---->preposition"of"=belonging to , shows, raised asked from------eg:-the first rate of his asking/questioning.eg:-What he raised(重要問题)are OF importance.

From your sentence:

The questions are first-rate importance. (X) Because first-rate importance is <名詞>the <同位語> used to making the questions is illogical. It should be changed to one-rated or to first rated importance(adjective)---of his asking......prisoner2又纲上欺凌helen !

語意不同。

The questions, he raised are, of first-rate importance.
=(What) He raised are「the question of first-rate importance.」

強調這個問題是至關重要的問題而不是強調這個問題是"由他提出的

"***說明***

拿掉of
The questions he raised are first-rate importance.
「他提的這個問題」很重要。

保留of
The questions he raised are of first-rate importance.
他提出的「是個至關重要的問題。」

***舉例***

I have a question for you.我有一個問題要問你
I have a question of you.我有一個「有關於你」的問題(要問你)
