expand extend 區別請教?

extend是基於現有的路線,時間,或是容量做出具體的擴張.而expand就沒佑這種具體的關聯.

例子們: (適用extend)
1. The store hours are extended from 9:00-17:00 to 7:00-21:00.
2. The MRT red line is extended from 桃園到新竹.
3. The airlines' check bag allowance is extended from 2 to 3 bags.
(適用expand)
4. The company expand their business globally.
5. The bus services are expanded 10 times in 3 years.
6. Taipei MRT business has been expanded by 20% yearly.

一般長度的延伸用extend，而expand是宽度增加。明顯是一個横向另一為縱向。本句延伸服務至郊區，所以用extend，若服務項目增加，如提供餐飲，旅遊咨詢等，就用expand。
另外中文情况，如condition ，situation 等，雖中文一樣，.但英文用法就不同了。可見一般。

兩回事，expand是擴大，擴展，extend是延遲，延期
