What are some solutions to provide access to basic healthcare for everyone in the United States?

Cut the population to about 25% of its current size. Get the majority in shape first, leaving only those ill with non preventable diseases in need of care. Hike taxes to where they are in nations that have national health schemes. This would put us on par with places like Canada. We're just too many, too fat, too addicted and too used to a kind of concierge style medicine to adapt quickly to what national health means. It's an honorable goal. It's just going to take us a generation to get there.
Get Trump out of office first.
Tax the krap out of everyone.
Everyone has access you to basic healthcare - they just may have to pay for it.
Make it cheaper - cut out all the middlemen.
Single payer health care isn't perfect but it's much better than the US healthcare system. My daughter suffered a brain aneurysm in Ontario Canada. She received surgery the very next day, when swelling in the brain was under control. She spent three weeks in hospital and received excellent care. No private health insurance was needed and there were no hospital bills to pay. Maybe if people like Trump would pay their fair share of taxes, the USA could also have a decent healthcare system.
The obvious solution is to do what another country is already doing, because we can see whether it works. There is no need to try something new and unique to the U.S.
Reduce immigration would be a starter along with the diversity visa.
A Socialist world where everyone has access to the best and most appropriate health care, not just the basic kind.
