I was at a concert in The Who's first "final" tour in 1982. I've been to others on your list. The most notable was Rush, which was one of the best. One name not on your list is Bruce Springsteen. Back in the day he put on 3 hour shows, full of energy.

Metallica back in 1992 was actually the last concert I went to, probably the best as they didn't have an opening act. Anthrax opened for the Ozzy concert I went to back in HS. I can't remember which hair band opened for Kiss when I saw them, it wasn't Guns n Roses though and not Anthrax either,(Skid Row maybe) and they who got credit as touring /opening for them in 87. I saw the Ratt/Poison concert. Saw Joan Jett open for Aerosmith, was a really cool outdoor concert. Hughie Lewis gave the Marines coming back from Desert Storm a free concert in back in 91. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton at the time so I saw it, actually tossed Hughie a beer, he catches with one hand way down below his knee, one motion pops the top and chugs it, keeps right on singing, got much respect from this metal head from that.

I'm 63, So Far:

The Beach Boys, twice, once at the Cow Palace I got autographs, but lost them..
Chuck Berry at Napa T & C fair (This was in 1974,. kids were jumping up on stage.  Chuck did his steppin' out and  leaned down to mouth the lyrics  to a teen girl in front. Won't get That close to a celeb these days.)
The Grateful Dead's last concert in Candlestick Park
The Fab Four at the Fox theater.

Plus numerous local country and rock  bands you have never heard of at the Am. Legion hall, Gila River run, Mormon Lake run, and Rocky Pt. run.

Oh Yeah, I just 'membered. In 1977, I got tix for I think Jan and Dean but my date stood me up. I think they were playing Napa T& C fair, too.
I got tix for Herman's Hermits about 2010 at the Desert Diamond casino/resort; ,  but I got sick, so we couldn't go.

A Great Big World,
One Direction,
I went to a top 10 tour of American Idol the year Adam Lambert was there when I was younger,
and I went to a Seattle jingle bell bash when I was younger that had bands like Cage the Elephant, but I don't remember the rest.

Big Sean
Paradise Fears
5sos and The Aces

and then, my absolute favorite concert was with The Score and The Unlikely Candidates. (I went last year and TUC has such amazing stage presence, I hope I get to see them live again.)
2020-09-21 5:03 am
I have never seen anyone in concert
2020-09-21 12:21 am
All of the people on your list who I care about. Saw ZZ Top in El Paso on a basketball court with 500 people when nobody knew who they were. John Mayall, Andres Segovia, Miles Davis, BB King a few times. Mel Torme with George Shearing. I gave up the arena rock when I was older than you are now...... Yeah I saw Journey with Def Leopard but I didn't see Def Leopard because we were backstage with Journey.
That's the problem with competitive lists. Somebody always has a longer one.

Not bad for a kid. I've see Ozzie 6-7 times. The last time was the first time I saw him sober and it was a disappointment.

I saw Motley Crue open the show at the Monsters of Rock at Donington, as they were the new kids then.

Best 1 week - I saw Bob Dylan, Springsteen, Ozzfest and Riverdance in 5 days.

Some of the best shows have been small venues like Hawkwind at a college venue and also some obscure artists like Michele Shocked who was great, despite being batshit crazy now.

Also surprisingly good - Dread Zeppelin.
