The word "choose" appears 58 times in the KJV
If it didn't exist, there would be no such think as "good"or "bad" behaviors. If we don't have free will, we cannot choose good or evil, so why should we be punished for stealing something, or even killing someone, if we had no choice?
Free will as in "God does not control us or coerce us to do his will or bidding?" Yes, the Bible, logic and reality all support the idea that we have free will.
The "free will" as in "determinism" is another topic.

Isn't that the whole point of the Adam and Eve story? God so respected mankind that he gave us a choice. Obey only him and live in paradise, or eat of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, and experience both.
OF COURSE....WHY DO U THINK THEY SINNED IN THE GARDEN WITH ONLY ONE RULE?? DUH...THEY BLEW IT..IT IS OBVIOUS THEY WENT AGAINST WHAT HE SAID..
Joshua 24:15 supports free moral agency.
"CHOOSE"
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>THIS DAY<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
Whom ye will serve" (Joshua 24:15)!
And that's the
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>LAST CHOICE<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
You will make
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>(((IF))) you CHOOSE Christianity!<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
For "I will put My Spirit IN YOU and (((CAUSE))) you to OBEY My commandments" (Ezekiel 36:27)
Therefore "If the Spirit of Christ doesn't dwell in you then you are none of HIS" (Romans 8:9) received after Holy Spirit baptism (Acts 1:5;8)!
You will be LIKE JESUS (I Corinthians 2:16) then who said
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me" (John 5:30)!
Because Jesus "gives commandments through the Holy Ghost to those He's chosen" (Acts 1:2).
"Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise" (John 5:19)!
If everything is part of God's plan, then there can be no such thing as free will as you are simply following what has been predestined for you.
Oh, and the idea that Free Will was involved in the choice of eating from the 'Tree of Knowledge' is also simply impossible. Free Will would require an understanding of the possible penalty for eating the Fruit, but as the God had created his beings as dumb ignoramuses there is no way they could 'know' the penalty. and again, if everything is God's Plan then he set them up to break his rule. No Free Will if a God exists. It is impossible.
Adam was created “in God’s image.” (Genesis 1:27) Jehovah gave him qualities like His own, including love, wisdom, justice, and power. He gave Adam free will. Adam was not a robot. God created him so that he could choose to do right or wrong. If Adam had chosen to obey God, he could have lived forever in Paradise.
When he disobeyed God and was sentenced to death, Adam paid a very high price. He lost his special friendship with Jehovah, his perfect life, and his Paradise home. (Genesis 3:17-19) Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, so there was no hope for them. Because of what Adam did, “sin entered into the world and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because they had all sinned.” (Romans 5:12) When Adam sinned, he “sold” himself and us into slavery to sin and death. (Romans 7:14)
