Do some men b so scared of rejection.they ask a girl out in a group?

At Lakes Entrance I watched two cars circling the town.  One a group of boys looking for girls.  The other was a group of girls looking for boys.  They were both so lacking in confidence that they stayed in their group.  Guaranteeing failure. Men in a group are confident but they intimidate the girls they are seeking.  Similarly for girls in a group.
