According to the law of conservation of mass, the total mass of the reactants is equal to the total mass of products.

Equation for the combustion of methane.
CH₄ + 2O₂ → CO₂ + 2H₂O
1 mole of CH₄ reacts with 2 moles of O₂ to give 1 mole of CO₂ and 2 moles of H₂O.
The molar masses of CH₄, O₂, CO₂ and H₂O are 16 g/mol, 32 g/mol, 44 g/mol and 18 g/mol respectively.
Total mass of reactants = (1 mol) × (16 g/mol) + (2 mol) × (32 g/mol) = 80 g
Total mass of products = (1 mol) × (44 g/mol) + (2 mol) × (18 g/mol) = 80 g
Hence, Total mass of reactants = Total mass of products

should be the same.  mass does not disappear (well, there is a trivial conversion of mass to energy, or energy to mass at the atom scale, but you won't be able to measure it at a macro scale; too tiny).

In chemical reactions, you can ignore the mass change. We do have the conservation of 'atoms' in chemical reactions. However...
The fundamental conservation law of the universe is the conservation of mass-energy. This means that the total mass and energy before a reaction in a closed system equals the total mass and energy after the reaction. If the ending energy is changed, then the mass changed.

Methane + Oxygen ➜ Carbon Dioxide + water
CH₄ + 2O₂ ➜ CO₂ + 2H₂O
molecular weights
C = 12
H = 1
O = 16
CH₄ = 12+4 = 16
2O₂ = 4•16 = 64
CO₂ = 12+32 = 44
2H₂O = 2•18 = 36
check 16+64 = 44+36 = 80

1 mole of CH₄ + 2 moles of O₂ ➜ 1 mole of CO₂ + 2 moles of H₂O
16 grams of CH₄ + 64 grams of O₂ ➜ 44 grams of CO₂ + 36 grams of H₂O

same mass on both sides of the equation

16 grams of methane are completely combusted by 64 grams of oxygen to form 44 grams of Carbon Dioxide and 36 grams of Water Vapor. This follows the law of conservation of mass.
80 grams of reactants in =80 grams of products out in a continuous process.
2.75 grams of CO2 produced by complete combustion of 1gram of Methane & 2.25grams of water vapor produced by complete combustion of 1gram of Methane.
As CO2 and water vapor are both greenhouse gases, 5grams of greenhouse gases produced by complete combution of 1gram of Methane.
