Confused by him. Help! ?

We started dating in March. After 2 months we stopped seeing each other because we didn’t want the same things. He continued to text me everyday for 6 weeks. Good morning text etc. 3 weeks ago we met for dinner and things picked back up, he started inviting me out again and was moving during that time frame. I met a few of his family members and helped him shop and decorate the new place and went to dinners. He was being nicer than he ever had been. Last week he didn’t ask to see me. We had plans on Thursday, but when Thursday came he didn’t say anything so I asked if he still wanted to hang out. He seemed indifferent. Friday and Saturday I didn’t hear from him. I text on Sunday and he responded and said oh are you finished being mad? I said I wasn’t mad about anything. Which I wasn’t. He said I was giving you time to cool down. I’m not sure what he was talking about as I didn’t come off as mad to him on Thursday. Monday he text me Good morning and we text off and on a little during the day. Now again Tuesday and Wednesday I haven’t heard from him at all. Should I contact him or let it go?
