Is it okay to play with toys at 17?

I'm 17 and since this is my last year of being a kid. I'm trying to make the best out of it before i turn 18. Is it normal for teens to play with toys?

Of course you can! You can do what you want

It's okay man. There's nothing wrong with collecting figures you enjoy.

It's 100% fine to enjoy doing whatever you enjoy. Age barriers are totally socially-contrived bullshit. I threw out all of my stuffed animals in 5th grade simply because I thought I "wasn't a baby anymore" and look back on that with such sadness. Age is such a dumb reason to dictate your decisions by.

It's fine, have fun with it! You aren't hurting anyone.

If you're playing with your toy cars and going 'brrrmmm brrrrmmm' and going 'eeeooowww eeeooowww' with your planes then perhaps you are a little old for that. Otherwise Lego building, model making and designing Barbie clothes and stuff like that is cool.

You know what I stared to do when I was in my late teens? I made little scenes and dioramas. I photographed my toys. I got little dinosaurs and photographed them in the garden. My star wars figures I photographed in the snow or against an interesting background.

But don't let your toys get in the way of experiencing adolescence. You know; dating, drinking, clubbing, hanging with your pals etc. These are important, you learn social skills and life's hard knocks. Being hurt and $h1t is normal, it's character building and an important part of adolescence. Lock yourself away with your Care-Bears, Hot Wheels or Barbies and you will miss out on all that and you will lack important social skills in later life.

Playing with toys should be in proportion. Enjoy it, but not at the expense of everything else. Like I did.

best wishes to you

I bought my self a set of BoohBahs when I was at uni cos they looked weird. people though i was nuts. Then I bought WWE wrestlers about 40 of them. I was 26.

Maybe it depends on the toys.  Are you building with legos?  That might be okay.  Or are you zooming around the house with a Buzz Lightyear doll???  That might be a problem.

Absolutely, as long as you like it, its ok, unless you hurt someone, then it is not ok

Of course it is normal playing with toys as a teen.
Teenagers are technically kids, not smaller adults 😂😂😂😂.

Besides, playing with toys as an adult is perfectly fine as well.
I still often play with my Barbie and Disney princess dolls, and i am 27.
I teach English to nursery school 's children in Spain (aged 3-5)  and they absolutely love me!
I love them just as much.

2020-08-17 9:03 pm
You're not an adult until 40.

****, I was like the coolest uncle when my niece and nephew were younger cause I had no problem sitting on the floor playing with Hotwheels and Barbies.
I was in my 30's at the time.
"I don't wanna grow up, I'm a Toys R Us (rip) kid", hahaha.
Seriously, anyone playing video games is still playing with toys, just without imagination.

My advice to you, get a career, get paid, get better toys, but still take a walk down the toy isle and buy yourself something your heart wants.
Never forget that child inside, never stop imagining, life is too short to ever grow up, cause like what point of growing up is too much? Death?

Seriously, what's cool is when you go to a house party at 25 and girls you grew up with are on the floor with coloring books and beer cans, it's like "HELL YEAH, look at us now"!!!
I think 2 of them are strippers now and 1 is hooked on meth J/K, they all have families and 1 has a child with special needs and like the BEST mother ever.

Don't think that just because you get older, you NEED to give things up, I just bought a Candy Machine from an American company with part of my stimulus check.
I can now spin that metal dial whenever I want, not just look at it and be told "No, we can't afford it".
Go to an R/C track once, you will see dudes in their 40s with their kids playing with toys, expensive toys.

It goes like this, Impulse toys, Dollar store toys, Toy isle toys, Toy store toys, Imported (why did I spend that much) toys, Investment toys, Baby isle toys, Repeat.
I left a few toys out, but with a little imagination they can be placed between "Investment" and "Baby".

"Grown Ups SUCK!!!"

it is never too late to do anything you want, as long as you like, this is your personal right, it just show a little too childish sometimes by some people, but you can keep it a secret, letting no other people know this.

Yes, it is fine (Unless you’re playing with toys designed for babies) There are plenty of toy brands that are suitable for all ages, for example: Lego. Playing with toys is better than playing computer games in someways since they won’t cause harm to the eyes if played in long periods.

I think and according to my opinion  play with toys up to only  10 years and it is not to look good that someone age 17 and playing with toys.
2020-10-21 10:21 am
By 17, I had moved on to other toys.
2020-10-12 1:25 am
As long as you manage your finances properly ..ie for work, study, paying rent, vehicle maintenance and all other typical adult expenses....whatever you set aside for your hobby is yours and don't  ever appologize for it.

I have a few transformers myself...they mostly stay on display, I occasionally transform them when I am bored.
