How do I know there is a Soul ? ?

By the Word of God, Who has revealed it to us.

The usual way to *know* something exists (that obviously does not, like souls) is to be indoctrinated as a child into believing it exists.

You don't.  Nothing about a soul has EVER been proven

When you die you would see your soul leaving your body, and you would see your body laying down dead with out soul, as being called corpse.
