Two quantities can be compared to each other only when they are in the same unit.
1 m = 3.28 ft
Hence, 2 m = (2 m) × (3.28 ft/m) = 6.56 ft > 6 ft

simple 2x3 = 6     

there are about 3 feet in a meter
