Some crazy delusional people
The Bible is inspired of God. But some may think, The Bible was written by men, so how can it be from God? The Bible answers: Men spoke from God as they were moved or, guided by holy spirit.
This is similar to a businessman telling his secretary to write a letter. Who is the author of the letter? It is the businessman, not the secretary.
In the same way, the Author of the Bible is God, not the men he used to write it. God guided them to write his thoughts. The Bible really is the word of God.
God inspired all scripture. Beginning with Moses, about 40 godly men who seldom even knew each other wrote down these inspirations over a span of about 1400 years. And as incredible as it is, the Bible reads straight through just like your favorite novel.
Many different authors in different times and places wrote the various texts that would eventually become the Bible. But the Bible itself didn't exist until the mid-4'th Century, when the Pope directed all the bishops of the Catholic Church to meet together in north Africa for the purpose of studying, discussing, discerning and praying about the hundreds of early documents the Church possessed, to determine which of them could definitely be said to be divinely inspired. They worked on this project for over three years, at which time they returned to their home churches that had been without their bishops for so long. A year later the Pope directed them to complete the project, so they returned to north Africa and took up where they had left off. After another three years they finally reached total agreement on 73 texts the Holy Spirit had guided them to choose. They bound these texts into a single book for the first time, and called that book "Biblios", which is Greek for "the Book", from which we get the English word "Bible".
Each book has a different author. Some of the authors are unknown. It was compiled in the third and fourth centuries by a committee of bishops, from a variety of holy books written by prophets, disciples, and priests. The bishops decided that each were important holy books inspired by God's word, and worthy of inclusion in the Bible.
We have but few autobiographical details about the Bible writers. Far from considering themselves of great importance, they always strove to honor God by keeping themselves in the background. We do know, however, that they included state officials, judges, prophets, kings, shepherds, farmers, and fishermen—some 40 men in all. Thus, the Bible, although a message from God, has the warmth, variety, and appeal of the human touch.
Many of the Bible writers did not know one another. They even lived centuries apart and were extremely different in temperament and experience, as well as in social and educational backgrounds. Yet, whether they were young or old, their writing shows a complete unity. Over a period of some 1,600 years, they wrote until the book was finally finished. After a careful examination, you will find that the Bible’s statements reflect a remarkable harmony. The Bible thus echoes the mind of one Author, though many writers were used.
The men who were authors of the books of the bible, But there is this one author of one book of the books of the bible that says that the scriptures are all inspired by God. And yet paul says in one account of what he says in scripture says that it is he that is saying it and it is not from God. Think about it.
Specifically, no one knows.
