Salt bridge serves two main functions:
(i) It completes the circuit by allowing ions carrying charge to move from one half cell to the other.
(ii) It provides cations and anions which replace those consumed at the electrodes or which balance the charges on any ions formed from the electrode.

Therefore, salt bridge must be made of a strong electrolyte. Among the options, NaCl, KI and KCl are strong electrolytes, but CH₃COOH is a weak electrolyte.
