Why is my supervisor putting me in position where I don't get to work with him?

I work at McDonald's and for the past week the GM puts me where I don't get to work with him. For instance, when he's up front, I'm in kitchen. Or simply in back drive thru. When it first happened, I threw a fit and yelled, "I hate you!" Now I'm just resigned to this thing. Just bc I like him doesn't make me obsessed. We all have preferences and favorite coworkers, right?

It's for your protection as well as his. Since you've made it clear how immature you are and that you're attracted to him, it's best you are separated as much as possible.

That stops the supervisor from being accused of favoritism. It prevents YOU from being gossiped about by people who think you're trading sexual favors for better shifts or easier tasks.

"Throwing a fit" and yelling "I hate you" should have gotten you fired. They must be really desperate for help.

According to your other posts, you're 31 years old. You've told a colleague she looked twice her age. You asked in another question, "Is it hard to get into management at McDonald's?"  No, it isn't, you just don't have the maturity , thoughtfulness, and equanimity necessary.

Your parents must be so proud of you.

You yelling "I hate you" probably has everything to do with it.

I would have fired you.

That was seriously stupid and childish.  That shows a lack of good judgement.

You need to be kept in the back away from customers until you can grow a little maturity.

And I do not have much respect for your GM.  You should have been fired for that outburst.

Sounds like you might be mature enough for a job in about 5 years.

You don't get to choose who you work with or what position you work. That's the GM's job. It's never a good idea to "throw a fit" at work. You've obviously stepped over the line and your GM is trying to avoid any future issues with you. You're lucky you weren't fired.

It sounds like your job is on the line.  You LIKE the GM but the GM doesn't care for you.  And now you have made yourself 'needy' and created a weird situation.

The person does not like you.  So leave them alone.  Unless they directly address you.  If they send you to the kitchen, you go.  If they say come in an hour earlier tomorrow, you say, Yes Boss.

As the GM they have the power to hire and fire.  By yelling at them you've put yourself on thin ice...they could have fired you right then for insubordination.

You are creating a toxic work environment. Stop.

You can't work the same position all the time, maybe he's trying to mix things up for you a bit. Changes happen, suck it up and deal with it or get another job. Your supervisor shouldn't have favorites, that's showing favoritism which some people don't like. That may also be why you had a change in positions. Having a fit like that isn't very mature and probably didn't help, try to apologize for your behavior and don't have another fit while you're working.
