Why do so many people believe the religion they were born into is the right one?

Because they have been indoctrinated to believe that they were born into the right religion.

They got lucky.

THE truth is given onto man there fore seek the truth and you shall find the truth.

It's called Indoctrination. Every religion is the right religion if you're brainwashed to believe it.

Because if they think about it too much they tend to become atheists.

I do not believe what my mother believed or my father.  So I think when you read and study the bible you change.  I read where Noah survived when the world was destroyed because they were so violent.  So I knew a religion god would like would not be violent.

Because most of them never have the opportunity to discover anything else.

I grew up catholic..and i believe in christianity because it makes sense to me. It is not a religion a human being can create

It's always struck me as interesting how many people honestly believe that they just happened to be born in the right time and place, in the right country, in the right culture, to the right parents, who just happened to have found the right version of the right religion that worships the right version of the right 'god' in exactly the right way?

What are the chances?
