math qss?
on a nursing proficiency exam at a Canadian college, the mean was 63 and the standard deviation was 10. If Nicoles z-score was 1.7 the what her actual exam mark?
回答 (2)
Actual exam mark
= mean + (z-score) × (standard deviation)
= 63 + 1.7 × 10
= 80
(score - mean) / standard deviation = z-score
(s - 63) / 10 = 1.7
Solve for s. It's that easy.
s - 63 = 17
s = 63 + 17
s = 80
