Is Hell a place within Earth or is it a spiritual place?

Some people say hell is a place deep in the Earth and others say it's a spiritual place.
Now, I listened to people that claimed to have had visions of hell and near death experiences where they claimed to have gone to hell. The way they described hell was different with every person I listened to, and I take these recollections with a little skepticism.

Some people claim to have been thrown down into hell down from heaven.
Other people describe going to hell as going down a tunnel in the ground.
Or going through a gate.

All people that have claimed to have gone to hell describe hell as being extremely hot, dark, and smelling like burning and rotting flesh.

Now, there are three possibilities. Hell is either a spiritual place, a physical place in the Earth, or it is both.

If Hell is a physical place inside the Earth, it can't be eternal, because the Earth will be destroyed at some point.

If Hell is a spiritual place then it would explain why it is eternal.

Do you think it is physical place or a spiritual place?

HELL IS DEFINITELY A PLACE SEE WHAT JESUS SAYS>>>

JESUS(GOD INCARNATE) TALKED MORE ABOUT HELL, THAN HE DID OF HEAVEN, PLEASE READ ALL THIS,
The doctrine of hell is so frightening that numerous heretical sects end up denying the reality of an eternal hell. The Unitarian-Universalists, the Seventh-day Adventists, the Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Christadelphians, the Christian Scientists, the Religious Scientists, the New Agers, and the Mormons—all have rejected or modified the doctrine of hell so radically that it is no longer a serious threat. In recent decades, this decay has even invaded mainstream Evangelicalism, and a number of major Evangelical figures have advocated the view that there is no eternal hell—the wicked will simply be annihilated.

But the eternal nature of hell is stressed in the New Testament. For example, in Mark 9:47–48 Jesus warns us, "[I]t is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into hell, where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched." And in Revelation 14:11, we read: "And the smoke of their torment goes up for ever and ever; and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name."

Hell is not just a theoretical possibility. Jesus warns us that real people go there. He says, "Enter by the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy, that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard, that leads to life, and those who find it are few" (Matt. 7:13–14).

Jesus talked about hell more often than he talked about heaven. Here are some verses.

The children of the kingdom will be driven out into the darkness where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth (Mt 8:12).
Depart from me, you accursed, into that eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels (Mt 25:41).
These will pay the penalty of eternal ruin, separated from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power (2 Thes 1:9).
God did not spare the angels who fell into sin; he thrust them down to hell, chained them there in the abyss, to await their sentence in torment (2 Pt 2:4).
The smoke of the fire that torments them will rise forever and ever, and there will be no relief day or night for those who worship the beast or its image or accept the mark of its name (Rv 14:11).

It is not a "place"as we commonly use that term. It doesn't have dimensions. as places on Earth do. It is more accurate to think of Heaven and Hell as states of existence.

Hell is physical and a Lake of Fire beneath the crust of the Earth. Specifically the Pit is directly beneath Abbadon in what's now called Iraq.

Like Justin said, there is a fourth possibility: Hell doesn't exist. And that is the truth

In both testaments hell is the grave, Hebrew sheol and Greek hades. Examples follow ...

1 Samuel 2:6 KJV — The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

Grave there is sheol

1 Corinthians 15:55 KJV — O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Grave there is hades

There is no hell or heaven for human beings. They are only for spirits. I guess that the heaven is just the sky and hell is the prison for spirits. Good spirits are free to go anywhere in the sky but bad spirits are put in prison for certain years. I guess that certain evil spirits are destroyed completely. Spirits' lifetime is limited. If what they (spirits) have said is true then they live approximately for 400 to 500 years. This is close to the Indian Hindu's belief that a human being has seven births. That means Hindus believe in reincarnation but I don't.

God doesn't watch each and every human being at the same time and cannot live with each and everyone to guide them. These works are done by the spirits. God had created different kinds of spirits for various purposes. He had made the spirits to watch, guide and determine the destiny of the human beings from their daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Your past determines your present and your present determines your future. God has given freewill to all creatures including human beings. According to this, all human beings have all right to live a life as they wish. But if it happens to be bad and hurts someone, they have to face the consequences. These consequences are created by spirits. It's a natural system. After death no one lives in any form. Heaven and hell are only for spirits, not for human beings. God is a mystery even to the spirits. Spirits are not eternal beings but their lifetime is long. Spirits are separate elements. A human being during his/her lifetime is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. These spirits are your consciousnesses and memories. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. Brain is just a media to connect the spirits to your mind. A mind is just a computer's mind. A mind is you. After the destruction of a computer completely you will not get it's mind. The same is the case with the human beings.  A human being doesn't have a spiritual body. Soul is nothing but an energy needed for the functionality of a body. It is not a spirit or anything else. A body's functionality is based on the auto mechanism.  After death all spirits which accompanied a person quit and go to different places searching new bodies. No one lives in any form after death. All human beings are just robots made of flesh and bones and toys of the spirits for their games.

Hell is a state of being where there is an absence of truth and happiness, an absence of peace in people's life.

Hell was the name of the garbage dump in ancient Rome.  It did smell bad  and there were fires as garbage burned continually everywhere.  'Gangsters' in ancient Rome would dispose of bodies (dead or maybe not) by throwing them into the burning dump.  So the warning to "Mind your ways or end up in Hell" was a very physical one that mothers would scold their delinquent children with.
Christianity became the official religion of Rome and the Roman empire and adopted the fear of ending up in Hell as the anguish and consequence of sin (misbehaving).
So it was physical, but Christianity used that physical place to describe the spiritual one

The location of hell is irrelevant and discussing it is pointless. Jesus warned us more than anyone else in the Bible to make sure we don't end up there after we die. Read Luke ch. 16, second half, then the warnings He gave to religious hypocrites (and their converts) who were in danger of hell, Matthew ch. 23. Jesus died and rose again to save repentant sinners from an eternity of bitter regret and anguish in hell. Our very short time on Earth is the only time we have to prepare for our eternal future, to trust in what Christ did, to love and obey Him, so that when we step out of time and enter eternity, we will remain secure in Him.

It is the invisible, spirit part of us that continues after physical death, as Ecclesiastes ch. 12 shows. We have no concept of the spiritual realm, but God's Holy Spirit can teach and guide us safely to the eternal bliss of being in God's holy presence. Think well on that.
