The nth term of a sequence is -3 -n
Work out the 50th term of the sequence.?
I struggle greatly with maths meaning this type of question kills me.

The nth term
= -3 - n
The 50th term
= -3 - (50)
= -53
That's essentially a "recipe" or formula for finding any specific term.
a[n] = -3 -n
To find the 50th term, plug in n=50
a[50] = -3 - 50
= -53
Now, I'm assuming that's exactly the formula as written. If there was an exponent somewhere, you didn't show it.
It is simply -3 -50 = -50 because n represents the term number which in this case is 50
