Jesus came to correct much of the Old Testament. This means that much of the Old testament was false and not God's word. True or false?

"I came not to destroy but to fulfill."

False

Psalm 119:160 KJV — Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.

Jesus came to FULFILL the OT, and he surely did.

Luke 24:44 KJV — And Jesus said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

John 1:45 KJV — Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.

John 5:46 KJV — For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

False. Jesus came to fulfill the law. Jesus said, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished." (Matthew 5:17-18)

No, He came to fulfill the OT, and in doing so revised it

He didn't correct it, he improved it.

Yes, that's what he meant by fulfil.

During an independent Nation/Church as Israel once was, CHURCH and Government were combined; so GOSPEL and LAW was combined. Christ fulfilled the Law by placing God's Law (GOSPEL) under the Apostles and Moses law (government) under the Pharisees. Moses had combined Kingdom Law with government: Today, government is under the control of government officials where the Health Dept. regulates food laws.

Christ fixed Moses' mess, then Paul comes along and messes it up again.

That is correct. The Old Testament is the history of the people through whom the Messiah, the Savior of humanity, was to come into the world. The historical facts provided are correct, including the historical fact that they lacked much of the truth that would be revealed by the Messiah, truths that Jesus Christ revealed, which are recorded in the New Testament.

False.

Jesus knew the Holy Scriptures were the true Word of God. While praying to his Father he said “your Word is truth.” And the “truth will set you free.”   The Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) were the only Scriptures available at the time Jesus was here on earth.

Jesus didn't write any of the New Testament. Most of it was written by Paul the Apostle who never even met Jesus. Only in "visions," which most people today probably would suspect somebody claiming that they knew somebody through visions, to more likely be a schizophrenic.
