Just checking again...have any of you Christians come up with a single characteristic yet that distinguishes Jesus from fictional characters?

Doug can block me but can't list a single distinguishing characteristic.  All he listed was fiction.  Return blocked.

To the other Anonymous coward, no one is talking vast conspiracies but YOU.  I would be ashamed too.

Yeah, he’s real.

There is no reason to assume that there was some vast, intricate conspiracy involving thousands of people arbitrarily inventing a Messiah. It is one of the most asinine conspiracy theories floating around today, and the only way to get sucked into it is to empty your brain of virtually every relevant piece of information about the subject.

Do scholars believe that Jesus existed? Read here: https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=102016164&srcid=share

He actually exists.

He's actually God.

He's actually alive in actual Heaven.

Rather than being the product of someone's imagination, people reported what they saw him do and what they heard him say and that has been recorded.

etc. etc. (I could go on for quite awhile)

Yes. Jesus Christ is the sinless Lamb of God who shed His blood on the cross for your sins and came back from the dead. The difference between Jesus and "fictional characters" is that Jesus is REAL. He was seen by more than 500 witnesses after His bodily resurrection (1 Cor. 15:6). Even if you believe that Jesus is nothing more than a fictional character, that doesn't change the reality that He is real and you are accountable to Him.

Because we have all sinned against a perfectly holy and righteous God, we all deserve eternal separation from God in hell (Rom. 6:23). However, God loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die on the cross as our Substitute so we don't have to go to hell. Christ died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the grave three days later (1 Cor. 15:3-4). He gives eternal life freely to anyone who simply believes in Him for it. No one can be saved by doing good works. Salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone (Eph. 2:8-9).

"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life" (John 6:47).
