Why does the government take tax evasion more seriously than murder?

Because taxes are the life-blood of government...they fund every program and (perhaps more importantly) pay every salary and fat pension..
I've known federal agents in a number of departments including the Secret Service, FBI and IRS.....all of them have told me the fed will spend millions in resources just to prosecute cases involving tens of thousands of dollars. Why? Because they tell me that the government can't do any good without a steady stream of revenue....therefore that steady stream becomes more important than the cost it takes to maintain it.
Tax evasion erodes the foundation of the government. Murder rarely does that.
Murder is very hard to prove, and criminal intent is even harder.
Tax evasion is very easy to prove. Just follow the paperwork. And if there's no paperwork, that's all the proof the government needs.
See how it works? It's called the path of least resistance.
Tax evasion is a serious crime. First Degree Felony.
Its simple, in the USA we value profit and money over people.
Murder doesn't affect their bottom line.
It doesn't and you're full of sh¦t.
Glad we cleared that up.
