My father's health has become worse?
Hello, my father was diagnosed with colon cancer like 3 years ago, he did the surgery and it was successful, but then he did MRI and CT scans, and then 2 years ago the doctor found out that my father has liver cancer, but the doctor didn't do his job, the tumor in the liver was small and could've been surgically removed, but he didn't, he gave him radiation therapy for 2 months and wasted a lot of time, and now we found out that my dad has gallbladder cancer too! Which is so much worse, we talked to some of our relatives who know cancer doctors and we showed them the medical reports, and all of them said that the doctor should've removed it first and then he can give him the treatment, I am afraid my father won't live long now, he is 72 years old, all the family is destroyed mentally and emotionally, we are hopeless, we don't know what to do!
Can we sue this doctor or what should we do exactly?

CONSULT A LAWYER for professional advice..
I looked through your posting history and can tell that this is a lie. Two years ago you posted this..."My aunt died from cancer and now her daughter has cancer too :( Is it related to bad gene in the family or something? I am always afraid that one of my family may get this disease in the future, about at least 5 of my relatives died from cancer in the past 10 years, I am really scared and always worried about the future"
Funny how you didn't mention your father having cancer a year after you claim he had been treated for it isn't it?
You are an obvious troll just seeking attention. Grow up.
Next time you decide to post this lie again at least learn how cancer actually works. He didn't have multiple types of cancer. He had one type that metastasized to several locations. It's still colon cancer even when it moves to another organ.
You can certainly try to sue--but why add so much more stress to your father's life? He needs support--not more chaos.
Medical science is not, as most people imagine, an exact profession. Doctors can miss things--they are just human beings. Some doctors do not believe that removing a liver tumor is a good idea--and there are sound reasons for this opinion. What you SHOULD have done at the time was get a second opinion before the treatment. Almost all insurance policies cover this. And cancers of the liver, pancreas and other internal organs may not all be easy or practical to remove--OR even detectable until they are at a stage where they are moving around the body or destroying organs.
I think suing the doctor is a bad idea--but you do what you want. Maybe your father could benefit a bit more from positivity in his remaining time, instead of all this weeping, wailing and negative reaction--but hey--that's just me. When I had cancer, that's what helped ME--not the weepy, doom-slinging crap.
Hello Pato. I am so sorry your family is having to deal with this very sorrowful and depressing health issue of your father. You do need to contact an attorney about this doctor who didn't operate on your father when he should have!. One other suggestion I would like to share with you.... "Polls" is not the best category to enter this question. You might get better answers in the "Health" category, and under that, "Diseases & Conditions."
I am so sorry for your father and your family
NOte I lost a 42 yrs son from cancer a year ago
Usually, by the time that even a small liver cancer is discovered, it has already begun spreading to other organs in the body. It spread from your father's colon cancer into his liver. Your father's colon surgery removed the cancer from his colon, but it didn't remove the cancer cells that were already spreading to his liver. Those cells were still too small to detect.
Removing a small section of the liver usually won't do much good, because the cancer is already spreading. In that case, radiation is usually the only option, but radiation won't prevent the spread of the cancer, which is already taking place. Radiation won't stop it, but might slow it..
this friend of mine who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer has changed dr.s (at the sale surgery) as when she had early symptoms he just beleived it was IBS. I think dr's have insurance for things like this
