According to the Bible, God’s original purpose for the earth was for it to be filled with good and righteous humans, who would enjoy it and make the whole earth into a paradise, and care for it. (Genesis 2:15; 28) Although the first humans sinned and temporary messed things up, the Bible assures us that God’s original purpose will be fulfilled in the near future. (Genesis 3:1-6, 19; Romans 5:12; Psalm 37:11, 29, 34)

Paradise will be restored on earth during Jesus’ rule as God’s King. In a battle called Armageddon, Jesus will lead God’s angels and destroy all who oppose God. Then Jesus will imprison Satan for 1,000 years. God’s people will survive the destruction because Jesus will guide and protect them. They will enjoy everlasting life in Paradise on earth.—Read Revelation 20:1-3; 21:3, 4.

The Bible assures us the earth, our home, will not be destroyed...
 - “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”—Psalm 37:29.
 - “[God] has established the earth on its foundations; it will not be moved from its place forever and ever.”—Psalm 104:5.
 - “The earth remains forever.”—Ecclesiastes 1:4.
 - “The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, . . . did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited.”—Isaiah 45:18.

2 Timothy 3:1-5
But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unsatisfied, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

Matthew 24:3-14
As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ...

Jesus Christ pointed to that solution, God’s Kingdom.

According to Bible prophecy, this heavenly Kingdom is a global government that will soon crush and put an end to all these kingdoms present-day governments.  Daniel 2:44

Jesus will re-create, or renew, conditions on earth, making them similar to those that existed in the garden of Eden. Paradise will be restored. Luke 23:43

The Earth will continue in its orbit around the sun for several billion years until the Sun expands as a Red Giant and consumes the dry dead Earth.
Humans and the Earth's biosphere will be long gone before that happens.  2 Peter 3:12

After the Great Day of Judgement God will cleanse the earth from all that flesh man has done.
All the corruption, the pollution and sinful things that man has done to the earth.
The earth will be cleanse by God and made to be the paradise that God wants the earth to be.
Then God will bring His Kingdom and Heaven to the New Earth. This will start a new age, The Eternity. All that are there will live for an eternity.
That is the future of the Earth. It is a future that all that love God can look forward to.

Revelation 21

1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

1st the earth is going to remain and be populated forever.

After the flood, Jehovah promised:

(Genesis 8:21, 22) 21 And Jehovah began to smell a pleasing aroma. So Jehovah said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground on man’s account, for the inclination of the heart of man is bad from his youth up; and never again will I strike down every living thing as I have done. 22 From now on, the earth will never cease to have seed-sowing and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, and day and night.”

But what about these verses:

"The earth and the heavens are the work of thy hands. They shall perish". Psalm 102:25-26

For, behold, I create a new heavens and a new earth. Isaiah 65:17

Heaven and earth shall pass away; but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35, Mark 13:31, Luke 21:33

Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands. They shall perish. Hebrews 1:10-11

The heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. 2 Peter 3:10

Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth. 2 Peter 3:13

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away. Revelation 21:1

Cherry picking and taking things out of context, one can prove anything they want.

Psalm 102:25, 26; Hebrews 1:10,11; Matthew 24:35; Mark 13:31; Luke 21:33 are hyperbole or examples of the assurance of God's promises.

Since the earth is going to remain forever, Jehovah will never leave his people.

Isaiah 65:17; 2 Peter 3:13; Revelation 21:1 talk about 'creating a new heaven and a new earth.

God's word also talks about the heaven and the earth as being those who live there, and are not the literal heavens and the literal earth.

(Genesis 11:1) 11 Now all the earth continued to be of one language and of one set of words.

This earth isn't the literal ground we walk on, but the people who reside on the earth.

Thus how will there be a 'new earth'?

2 Peter 3 tells us:

(2 Peter 3:7) 7 But by the same word the heavens and the earth that now exist are reserved for fire and are being kept until the day of judgment and of destruction of the ungodly people.

Thus the earth reserved for judgment is not the ground, but the ungodly people.

Just as we make our minds new, the planet will be free of ungodly people, thus everyone living will be living and obeying the royal love of love.

The 'new heavens' also include the 144,000 who have been bought from the earth to rule with Christ in God's kingdom.

NO WHERE in scripture does Jehovah say, he is going to destroy the planet earth and the physical heaven.

UNLESS you take scripture out of context.
