He was declared God's only begotten Son on the day of His resurrection because He was perfectly obedient to the Father and accomplished all the Father's will.

Those joined to Him are therefore also called God's sons.

God employs the natural and physical things that we are familiar with to illustrate spiritual truth. how else are we to understand spiritual things?

 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

... And we declare unto you glad tidings, how that the promise which was made unto the fathers,
God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

God most certainly did..  Adam was God's first but Adam was not born but created of the dust of the earth just like us humans are.   Jesus Christ was God's ONLY begotten Son.  God was His heavenly Father.  Joseph was NOT Jesus' father, God was.

On the contrary, God caused a human women to become pregnant with His Son, so His Son is literally the Son of God.

God's word tells us he is the creator of Jesus, all the angels, and even Adam.

As the Creator, God can rightly be called, Father.

Procreate: to produce; bring into being; to beget or generate (offspring).

Beget: to procreate or generate; to cause; produce

Generate: to bring into existence; cause to be; produce; to create

Produce:  to bring into existence;

Create:  to cause to come into being,

Jesus as God's Firstborn or eldest creation can rightly be called 'God's Son'.

>>>God never had any offspring<<<

And God replied, "Oh really?"

John 3:16 KJV — For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:9 KJV — In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.

John 1:14 KJV — And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Mark 9:7 KJV — And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him.

Because this question comes from the Bible, the answer is best found there using scripture as reference.

Colossians 1:15 says that Jesus is the first born of all creation. Therefore he was created by his heavenly Father prior to all other things that were created. That would make the one we know as Jesus, the Son of the living God.

While on earth, during the last days of his ministry, Jesus inquired of his disciples, who people were saying that he was. There were many responses: Elija, John the Baptizer. However, Jesus asked Peter the same direct question. Peter's response: You are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Matthew 16:16

There are many scriptures that with careful study will help a sincere person understand who Jesus is and his true relationship to God the Father and what that means for all humankind. Far to great a study to be encapsulated in this space.

Hope this helps.

God has billions of Sons.  SONS of God are called ANGELS when performing outside of Heaven.

1. Christ is the Son of God.
2. Jesus is the son of man;
3. Christ lived in Jesus as Christ can live in all. Jesus' last name wasn't Christ.

well, if you read between the lines, God did have a son, but humanity has been fooled in their understanding of what the son is, we reflected the son into one person to symbolize our version of it, Jesus tried to shift our focus to include all of us as Gods son....Jesus said we are in him as he is in us, he didn't mix words here.
