The evidence from the New Testament supports that Jesus never actually existed, where even if you assume a historical figure despite this evidence, there is no connection between the NT and this historical figure.

It would be like creating a story about Trump being Superman where the story has nothing tied to a historical Trump other than using his name.

The name Jesus, if translated to Hebrew simply means to deliver or to rescue, where there were many historical Jesus's but none that can be tied to the story of Christianity.

What we end up seeing are the writers of the NT relying heavily on other writings for their stories and not relying on eyewitness testimony even though it is written into the story as if there were eyewitnesses. One source heavily relied on is the Greek translated OT known as the Septuagint, where many verses from the OT are dragged into the NT where you could say Jesus is reversed engineered based on a cross breed of Pagan Gods that have God/Man saviors and the hopes of the Hebrews of a future Messiah that would save the people "physically" not "spiritually" from the history of bullies the Hebrews had to endure.

An invented fictional character to fool the Sicarii to believe that the Messiah they believe was coming to help them fight the Romans had arrived. But the NT is a puzzle that allow a sharp mind to find the real character in that story; not Jesus.

Jesus is the Christ and the Son of God.
He is also the image of the invisible God, the beginning of the creation by God, and the firstborn of all creation.

Unlike any other human, Jesus lived in heaven as a spirit person before he was born on earth. (John 8:23) He was God’s first creation, and he helped in the creation of all other things. Jesus came to earth (1) to teach the truth about God, (2) to set an example in doing God’s will, and (3) to give his perfect life as “a ransom.

Jesus was one of God's  prophets  in which "Christians'' made him God then the Son of God and one of the "Godhead" of trinity .

God was born and named Jesus as God was born and named many times before and after. people pray to a body in the past which angers God no end and also proves they know nothing of the Bible

The question that matters is, "Who IS Jesus in actuality?" For if Jesus simply was a person in history who died and remains dead, there would be nothing much about him different to all admirable men who lived, taught good, died and remained dead. Only if Jesus is who He claimed to be, the Son of God, the I Am, the Resurrection, the Way, the Truth, the Life, the Bread of Life and the Light of Life - only then could He triumph over death and arise from the grave because Death could not hold the sinless One, God's beloved, sent to save us from sin.

That is who Jesus IS, in actuality. All who repentantly trust in Him as being all of that, will be delivered from the cruel grip of sin, death and the devil. That is what Jesus now in Heaven, has done for me and millions of others. We know Him experientially for now we belong to Him and will be with Him for eternity. He is God's everything, and that's why God so loved the world, He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's only-begotten Son." John 3:16-18
