Atheism and liberalism both require a willingness to think beyond traditional social narratives and reject authoritarianism. It's no surprise that they often go together.
One of the things that many (most?) conservatives want to conserve is religious belief and participation of most citizens in a religious community. They may also believe that morality derives from religion. Absent a god or a coherent holy book, this does not make a lot of sense, and instead "Liberalism" in an Enlightenment context does make sense.
Really? are you sure since you do not sound intelligent enough?!!!!!!
The only way primitive religion exists today is through the child abuse of forcing it into very, very young children but thanks to better education and growing intellects so many teens are able to discover the truth, throw off the indoctrination and step into the real world!
So atheism is not a conscious decision or a belief but a realization!
Just rejecting a religion or even a few gods does not make you an atheist!!!!!!!
ATHEIST - someone who does not believe in a God – any God – not just the Christian one.
