i am planning to use a DVI-D Splitter for my GPU 1 for the monitor(DVI-D converter to VGA) and 1 for the VR Headset(using DVI-D converter to HDMI) will it work?
I am using an OEM RX 580 with a single DVI-D port only i cant change to other GPU cause im broke

That card should have got some other ports - probably displayport.
Some OEM RX580 cards apparently have four video outputs.
Displayport can be converted to either DVI-D or HDMI with a simple adapter. It would be better than having a splitter.
