Why did my hookup want to look at my face when he came?

Because of lockdown, I haven’t been able to see the guy I’m sleeping with, so we did a video chat. The entire time we were using the back camera (for obvious reasons) but then just before he came he asked to look at my face instead. Does anyone know why he might have done that?
