Counting books read is meaningless.

It takes no account of length. Johnathan Livingston Seagull and War and Peace each count as one book.

It takes no account of quality. Fifty Shades of Drivel and Moby Dick each count as one book.

It takes no account of the reader. Do you actually READ books, or just get to the end?

As it happens, I do like to set myself reading (and other) targets. I also revise some targets upwards when I'm unexpectedly confined to my home for two months and counting.

But these targets mean nothing to anyone except me, and I have no interest in sharing them.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but honestly nobody cares.
People who read don't have 'goals'; we just read. We don't compare ourselves to other people; we just read. We don't count how many books we've read; we just read.
You should do the same.
