eg:-Hurrying and hurried are the present and past participles of "HURRY"
participial is the adjective of a participle=a participial adjective, eg:-racing in a racing car/manner.
---------
Ving=eg:-Driver found himself hurrying home but not dying out in Level 1=predicate complement, verbal as present participle
also eg:-Driver found himself hurrying home in a racing manner=adjective racing in a racing manner/car.
--------
Having hurried in TW roads, the driver died and had died out of Level 1.=adv, predicate, past participle"=hurried"eg:-die vi pt,pp is died, pres part is dying:-eg:- He died by a violence crash in TW and his secret died with him after a cinematic died-hard struggle below.
-----------

現在分詞(V-ing)與過去分詞(p.p.)在當作「受詞補語」或「名詞的修飾語」時,屬於「形容詞性質」。

I found him standing at the door.(受詞補語)
I looked at the dancing couple.(名詞的修飾語)
Taipei is a noisy city with roads filled with traffic.(名詞的修飾語)

但 Having failed twice, he didn't want to try again.
having failed是「述部」的修飾語,屬「副詞」性質。

Boring teachers make students bored.
boring是修飾語,bored是受詞補語
