How I do this? chem help?
A doctor orders 200. mL of 1 % (m/v) ibuprofen. If you have 10. % (m/v) ibuprofen on hand, how many milliliters do you need?
回答 (2)
Stock: C₁ = 10% (m/v), V₁ = ? mL
Diluted: C₂ = 1% (m/v), V₂ = 200mL
For dilution: C₁V₁ = C₂V₂
Hence, V₁ = V₂ × (C₂/C₁)
Volume needed, V₁ = 200 × (1%/10%) mL = 20 mL
200mL * 1% = 10% * x
divide both sides by 10%
X = 200mL (1%/10%) = 20mL
