Probably but its up to your boss. Way back when I was promoted to manager from asst manager, they called it "acting manager" for about a month and they only gave me a small raise. They did that because they did not want to lose me as an assistant manager in the event I flopped as manager. I did not flop and they gave me a bigger raise in a month and more raises every 3 months because I ran a top store and I was the lowest paid manager.

You should probably be willing to continue as department manager until they can get someone else then you go back to the lower job.

Yes, you can quit any job, at any time, for any reason. Your prior position might still be available, or it might not.

Of course.  Tell him you don't like the work and want your old position back.

Two days is nothing to get used to a new job. Give it at least a couple of months. You will find it easier as you learn how to manage. I went from supervising three women to Buildings Superintendent at a major college. I had to deal with contractors, organise caretaking/janitors and many other matters. I felt ill on the first day! But it did get easier.

You don't have the "right" to go back to your old position. You have the right to quit, and not work for Walmart at all. You can ask for your old job back -- but they have the right to refuse, or even to fire you.

Sure you can refuse.

How they will respond to your refusal is up to them.

Job positions are determined by the employer, not the employee.   The store could move you back to where you were, assign you someplace new or fire you.    It's completely up to them.

You have the right to refuse the new position.

Your employer has the right to choose if they should react to your refusal by agreeing to let you go back to your old position, or by ending your employment.

No. If you're already worked a few days in the new job, theen you've already accepted it. Your old position likely no longer exists.
