Why has my credit score dropped by 15pts on one bureau, but not on the others?

My credit card has the experian bureau on theirs, but I check my credit also through credit karma who has Trans and Equifax. I get alerts from both when my score changes. My credit card was recently paid off. But just a couple days ago they told me my score had dropped by 15pts. The other two agencies say it is still the same. I'm used to seeing a couple points difference between the agencies. But not like this. They were all updated within one day of each other. I've done nothing except make payments on my accounts. So why this big drop?

Confusing. Who is 'they' that told you the score dropped? The last companies you referred to before that were the two on Credit Karma, then you refer to 'the other two' without naming them. Confusing.

It could be any reason -- you can't tell why by looking at the score. To know why the score drops, you have to look at the credit report, not the credit score.

It happens. Timing issues & so forth.
I dropped 8 points at 2 places and none at 2 others. The 8 points is reflecting an already paid a month ago $600. Next month, it will reflect that any my score will go back up.
So it depends on several things out of our control. The date our report is pulled and the date its updated. In the worst case, it takes an extra month for the payment to reflect. 820 to 812.
