what would the x intercept of f be from f (x) = 1 - e^x?
回答 (3)
✔ 最佳答案
y = f(x) = 1 - eˣ
When y = 0:
1 - eˣ = 0
eˣ = 1
x = ln(1)
x = 0
x-intercept of x = 0
The x - intercept is when y = 0
Hence let f(x) = y = 0
Hence 1 - e^x = 0
e^x = 1
Hence
e^0 = 1
Because any number raised to the power 'zero' equals '1'.
Hence
f(0) = 1 - e^(0) = 1 - 1 = 0 = y
f(x) = 1 - e^(x)
set f(x) = 0
0 = 1 - e^(x)
e^(x) = 1
x = ln(1)
x = 0 answer//
Therefore, the x - intercept is (0,0)...//
