I prefer 7-Up, too, and it's exactly opposite: Sprite has a rather astringent taste, while 7-Up tends to be less acidic. Unfortunately 7-Up is now an "orphan drink" and only a few please carry it. But Sprite has been aligned with Coca-Cola for years now (and "Sierra Mist", by Pepsi), so that is mostly what's offered.
