Original: T₁ = (273 + 100) K = 373 K, V₁ = 40.0 mL
New: T₂ = (273 + 50) K = 323 K, V₂ = ? mL

For a fixed amount of gas at constant pressure: V₁/T₁ = V₂/T₂
Then, V₂ = V₁ × (T₂/T₁)

New volume, V₂ = 40.0 × (323/273) mL = 34.6 mL

(40.0 mL) x (50 + 273) K / (100 + 273) K = 34.6 mL

Convert temperatures from deg C to K, substitute and solve for V2.
