Give the formula of each coordination compound. Include square brackets around the coordination complex. Do not include the oxidation state on the metal. Use parentheses only around polyatomic ligands.

sodium diamminedicarbonatoruthenate(III)

Thanks!!

Na[Ru(NH3)2(CO32)]

The"diammine" indicates that two NH3 are coordinated to the ruthenate ion. The "dicarbonato" indicates that there are two carbonate ions coordinated to the ion. Because carbonate is a bidentate ligand, the ruthenate ion has an octahedral geometry. The complex ion would have a -1 charge from the +3 of the metal and 2(-2) from the carbonate ions. So, there is a single sodium ion in the compound.

The formula: Na[Ru(CO₃)₂(NH₃)₂]
