Eating too fast, adds extra air in your stomach. Drinking liquids afterwards helps to release it.
You're likely just taking in extra air when you swallow (which most people do). The burp is your stomach expelling the excess air.
You may have a GI issue causing it, but most people do burp regularly.
me too ! I've had this condition for many years, it started after I took 2 differently prescribed antibiotics, the other side effect was weight gain. AND yes I did tell the 2nd one I was already on them. Anyways, after I drink anything I make a noise, you call it a burp, I call it a hiccup. and I have no idea how to fix it, and apparently none of the quacks know how either, probably a nurse practitioner may know, but I have no idea how to find them...sorry. at least I know it affects more people, but still no answers !
I can relate, I have lots of gastrointestinal issues. You should make an appt with a gastroenterologist. If you say you are just burping, you could have acid reflux bc I have a friend who has that and burps a lot.
it's normal, everyone burps after consuming anything. It's your body telling you, that your digestive system is good.
